Why did LNDRY need custom software?
Running laundry pickups is more complicated than it looks from outside. Customers book a pickup, laundry partners accept and process the orders, delivery captains collect and drop off garments, and every step has to be tracked and paid for correctly. We also needed partner shops to join through a proper approval process, with their own services and prices.
A ready-made template could not handle that. We needed software built around how LNDRY actually works, so we went looking for a developer who would sit down with us, understand the business, and build it properly. That is how we met Sayan.
What did Sayan Mondal and Shotlin build for us?
Through Shotlin, Sayan built the complete LNDRY platform:
The customer app for booking pickups and following orders. It is live on Google Play, and the listing credits Shotlin as the developer.
The vendor Partner app, where laundry partners manage their orders, services and prices, and add their own staff and delivery captains who sign in with a phone-number OTP and see only the sections the owner allows.
The admin dashboard, where our team onboards vendors with their documents, reviews services and prices, and sees orders together with their payments.
The website at lndry.in, which explains the service and the booking journey.
He also took care of the backend, the Razorpay payment flow (an advance at booking, the balance at delivery) and putting everything on our own cloud server.

Roles, permissions, approvals, pricing and payments were all customised to how we operate. When we explained a requirement, he turned it into a working feature rather than telling us to adapt to the software.
